How to reach the SMS SDK maintainers: GitHub issues for questions and bugs, private vulnerability reporting for security issues, and your provider for account problems.
SMS SDK is maintained in the open on GitHub, so every channel below goes through github.com/opencoredev/sms-sdk. There is no sales team, phone line, or paid support plan.
| You want to | Go to |
|---|---|
| Ask how to use SMS SDK | Open a GitHub issue and label it question |
| Report a bug or a docs mistake | Open a GitHub issue |
| Correct a provider fact | An issue with a link to the provider’s official documentation |
| Report a security vulnerability | Private vulnerability reporting, never a public issue |
| Contribute code or docs | A pull request; see Contributing and support |
Before you write
Run the doctor CLI first. Its dry run catches many configuration problems without a network call:
npx @opencoredev/sms-sdk doctor --adapter telnyx --to +14155550123
When you report a problem, include the SMS SDK version, your runtime and its version, and the error’s toJSON() output, which masks phone numbers and leaves out message bodies. Read it before you paste it, and never post credentials, full phone numbers, or message contents.
Problems only your provider can fix
SMS SDK cannot see or change your provider account. Sender registration, 10DLC and toll-free verification, carrier filtering, delivery failures after the provider accepted a message, account limits, and billing all belong with your provider’s support team. Give them the message’s providerId from the send result or status webhook; providers look messages up by their own ID.
